UEC returning to campus

Updated on 10 July 2020

UEC went online on 30 March to safeguard our students and staff. Students have done well studying online with many successfully achieving their pathway to their chosen university or vocational college over the last 3 months.

UEC is now excited to be transitioning back to face-to-face classes and looking forward to welcoming our students back to our campus. Most students will return to the college on 20 July.

Students will be contacted by our student service team by email with detailed instructions. All students will have the choice to remain learning online should they choose. Students currently studying online from overseas or interstate can remain online.

The college will be strictly following the Australian government guidelines. So students will have 4 square metres of space in the classroom. Class start times and break and lunch times will be staggered to minimise the number of students in communal spaces. Students will be able to keep a social distance from staff and other students. Additional cleaning will be carried out at the college to ensure the college environment is hygienic.

The health and well-being of our students and staff remains our top priority

We will implement a range of strict hygiene and physical distancing measures and practices to ensure that our campus is safe for students and staff. Please refer to the important information below:

When students return to face-to-face classes, they will see:

  • signage about room capacity, social distancing, use of shared spaces, cleaning and personal hygiene
  • wide availability of hand sanitiser and handwashing facilities
  • increased cleaning of shared and high-use areas

Please note the COVID-19 situation is evolving all the time. UEC is committed to returning classes to face-to-face and this is the first step in the process of having all students back on campus full-time.

UEC follows government guidelines at all times so the college plans will have to be adjusted if there is any future change to government regulations or advice.

We look forward to continuing to care for our students and providing the high quality lessons UEC is well-known for!
